Since December 2005, when I heard that Airbus is going to manufacture the largest passenger airliner in the world, I was pretty much excited. After 16 years of development work, the A380 made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines.
I tried to bid for the maiden flight however it was too expensive. I wanted to make history to be the first to fly however I was not successful. Things took a turn in March 2008, when I was asked to make an urgent trip to Sydney, Australia – a place which I wanted to visit for a long time. Since there was an opportunity, immediately I booked myself the A380 experience. In fact, I was looking forward to be on the plane rather than to be in Sydney.
If things would to go your way, it will go your way. There was no proper planning for it. I have never ever guessed that five months later after the introduction of this plane, I still make history to fly on the only A380 commercial flight just a day before the London route was introduced & landed in the new Changi Terminal 3.
The flight was steady & calm as claimed by the majority of people. It was much more quiet compared to other planes despite its size. That was truly my uniquely first experience. When would be my next A380 experience? Tokyo in May 2008? Let’s see if things would to go my way.

I thought Japan would be your last visit in your country list?
