This is the continuation of my first post for this series. I don’t think it would be the last. I found new friends yet again. This time, they are two new puppies, Qing & Ming. However, I am not sure who is who.

A fortnight ago, I went up to the temple at my neighbourhood to pray. I was quite surprised with the new additions to their family. They wasted no time in greeting me by crashing onto me & licked my feet. How to pray if that’s the case?

My Very First Hand-Fried Yam Puffs

I finally managed to learn what I wanted to do all this while during the festive break. Lots of cutting, steaming, frying, mashing & measuring of the ingredients with direct supervision from my grandmother before the end result was achieved at approximately 5PM today. Extremely proud of this & certainly, there is still a long way to go before I can achieve perfection.

Exactly two more days, the sound of the F1 engine will roar on the Singaporean soil. I can still remember how it sounded in 1999 for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Simply marvelous. I bet the citizens & residents of the city-state will feel the same somehow.

It is an auspicious today – 8th August 2008. Besides the Olympics, it is also a significant day for a close friend of mine who has the same name initials with me. We fought for the same login ID & also there’s one super misunderstanding when I was asked to coordinate his package delivery because of the almost the same name similarities. Despite all the commotion, I told him, I would be there for the day of his life. That’s what friends are for right?

I knew him 4 years ago. We worked in the same office for a year before I left the office first. Then she came in to fill my position. Coincidence or fated? The rest is history from that day onwards.

SXI From The Top

It was a farewell dinner for a colleague but to me it was more like my return to my Alma Mater. For the first time, I had the chance to view my Alma Mater from the top. I spent about 10 minutes doing nothing but just looking at it. It was definitely a distinctive experience.
